When we aren’t helping our clients with their financial service and tax preparation needs, we are farming! We have a sustainable farming operation with a focus on the diversification of flowers and animals. Both Owen and I (Sarah) have a background in agriculture. I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Animal Science degree. After working on a few farms and ranches in Montana and Wyoming, I went on to receive a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from Montana State University. I then returned home to New York where I spent 12 years specializing in farm accounting and taxation. During the remainder of my career, I benefited from experience providing accounting services to companies within a variety of industries such as manufacturing, construction, retail, and various service based industries. Owen was raised on a buffalo farm near Canandaigua, New York. He studied criminal justice in college where he gained an interest in business law. He now spends his time studying tax law and consulting with clients to meet their tax planning and preparation needs.
